Why a Scholarship?  

Purpose of Scholarship: To provide funding for mental health professionals representing a variety of backgrounds to attend the Somatic Relational One-Year Program.
We want to welcome more people of color, non-traditional sexual orientations and all gender expressions into our Bioenergetic community, and provide an equitable opportunity for them to participate in Bioenergetic Analysis trainings.  CEUs will be provided under the scholarship program.

  • Eligibility requirements:  Meet the requirements of the one-year program. In addition, the applicant must:

    • be in the mental health profession (either licensed, currently enrolled in a graduate level program or registered as an intern in the state where they reside); 

    • qualify for financial assistance* due to financial limitations.  

Selection Process: 

  • Applicants must complete the Somatic Relational application.

  • Concurrent Bioenergetic therapy is required:  when registering in the workshop series, students agree to receive at least 10 hours of therapy with a Certified Bioenergetic Therapist CBT during the course of the series.  Therapists must be CBTs. We will provide a list of SCIBA therapists who are willing to work on a sliding scale. 

 
 

Selection Process Cont.

  • Scholarships will be awarded on a sliding scale depending on disclosed need.

  • Intention is to fund at least 6 applicants to attend the next workshop series.

  • With your application please send a copy of your license, intern registration or proof of enrollment and a one-page reflection on the following: 

    • What is your interest in being considered for this program?

    • What financial limitations and/or responsibilities do you have that would prevent you from participating in the program without a scholarship? 

    • Please share with us why you believe you are a good recipient of this scholarship.

    • How will this impact your current professional life and your community?
