Sylvia Núñez, MFT, CBT
I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Bioenergetic Therapist working in private practice in Tustin, California. Throughout my personal and professional experience, I have learned that we may be deeply impacted by stressful or traumatic experiences, sudden life changes and painful losses at any point in our lives. Identifying and accepting the pain becomes a challenging and frightening process, especially if we feel alone or have difficulty reaching for help out to family members and friends because we fear rejection or judgment.
My focus as a therapist is to provide safety, support and empathy to my clients to help them connect with their emotions and process painful feelings. As a Bioenergetics therapist I am also invested in supporting my clients through the process of integrating body sensations with the mind, as well as becoming more aware of their inner world to experience greater aliveness, pleasure and joy, and establish healthy and meaningful relationships.
