Self-Regulation
in the Midst of Change
February 27-28, 2021
How do we regulate our bodyminds when faced with change and hardship, when we are unable to have an impact on our environments? In the midst of change, in the midst of a pandemic that threatens lives, how do we manage the fear that dysregulates our nervous systems, the helplessness that crushes our hopes and energy?
We come back to the body. We shift our focus from “out there” to “in here”. We listen in. We learn to regulate our internal states.
As we notice how distress is manifesting in our bodyminds, we can tend to our body’s cues and address them with certain techniques, grounding exercises for example, meditating, singing, screaming into a pillow, talking with a friend or therapist. Our dysregulated states can then be soothed, making way for compassion to enter our hearts and soothe our suffering.
Bioenergetic therapy is one pathway into this regulated state. Specific bioenergetic techniques can be learned to help release chronically-held tension and stress. Join us for this unique, two-day, online event with professional speakers from around the globe.
