COVID-19 care
The SCBC planning committee continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and follow CDC recommendations as well as restrictions in California and San Bernardino County. The UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center has expanded health protocols and heightened hygiene standards and you can find out more about them here: UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center.
In order to provide for the safest possible environment for the upcoming 2022 conference, all staff and participants are required to provide proof of vaccination. Even with all attendees being fully vaccinated we will continue to take precautions and follow the CDC recommendations as they change. In preparation for the conference we suggest that participants investigate options for acquiring a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arrival in Lake Arrowhead. The conference committee is exploring the acquisition of self administered quick tests to have on hand. We will continue to post updates as changes to the situation occur.

It is often through some unexpected or traumatic event that we are made aware of the fragility of life. The illusion of permanence cracks open and leaves us devastated, vulnerable, questioning what’s real. As we walk amidst the broken pieces of the reality we once knew, the body of earth holds us. We connect with the vulnerability of our own bodies and the bodies of those around us with our feet on this solid earth. In connecting, we are reminded of the temporary, fragile nature of our lives and the wonderful, painful consequence of loving and living.
The Bioenergetic conference in Lake Arrowhead provides a place and a space to connect with ourselves and with others… to acknowledge and to tend to our bodyminds, to feel into what’s real and what’s present for you, to be with others in what’s present for them. In being together, we can perhaps soften the pain of living and feel into the wonder of being alive.
